NeuroMatic Clamp Features Include

Compatibility with WaveMetrics Igor Pro 5 and 6.

Compatibility with Mac or PC.

NIDAQ interfacing – multifunction DAQ boards from National Instruments. Requires Igor NIDAQ Tools MX.

ITC interfacing - data acquisition systems from InstruTech/Heka. Requires Igor ITC XOPs.

Episodic acquisition (stim and sample).

Continuous acquisition (currently for ITC users only).

Online analysis, with ability to create your own analysis functions.

Notes and Log Files which can be displayed within a table or notebook.

Automatic saving of data and log folders to your hard drive.

Instant accessibility to all of NeuroMatic’s and Igor Pro’s pre-existing data analysis functions.

Testing

NeuroMatic's clamp tab has been extensively tested in our lab using:

NIDAQ PCI-6052 and PCI-6713 DAQ boards with Windows 2000 and Igor 5 and 6.

ITC-18 interface board with Mac OS 8.6 and Igor 5 and 6.

Other labs have reported success using:

ITC-18 interface board with Mac OSX and Igor 5.

Disclaimer

Although it can be easily modified within Igor, we strongly discourage any change to the original code. We do, however, encourage the addition of online analysis functions, which can be added to NeuroMatic’s utility procedure file, or your own procedure file.
